Adjustable temperature & speed: There is a speed controller on the 3D Pen for you to control the 3D Pen extrusion speed for smoother operation or intricate drawings. Adjustable temperature suits your different needs. It allows you to choose the appropriate melting point (temperature) according to the filament you are using or the way you want it to be squeezed out. It takes some time getting familiar with it, but when you find your sweetspot you'll be an expert in not time.
Safe to use: 3D Pen will switch to standby mode automatically when not used for over 5 minutes. It has a heat dissipation port, protecting the user from scalding. The filament is heated through the pen body, and cooled down before it flows from the nozzle, avoiding injury.

3D Pen 101
A 3D pen is a pen that extrudes heated or warm plastic from the pen’s nozzle. You don’t need any software. Whatever you imagine, you can draw. It goes from your brain, to your hand, right there.
With a 3D Printing Pen you can draw a raised graphic on a piece of paper or any flat surface. But what makes a 3D pen truly unique is its ability to “draw” in mid-air, allowing you to instantly form 3D structures right in front of you, which you can pick up and hold in your hand.
How to use a 3D Pen?
Plug in your 3D pen: Make sure to set the temperature according to your choice of plastic
Insert your plastic: Push the plastic through the back until you feel a little click
Click and draw: Choose either the fast or slow button, push down the button and draw while the plastic flows out.

How Do 3D Pens Work
Most 3D pens work by feeding plastic through the pen, which then melts it before it comes out of a nozzle at the end of the pen (that’s what we call “extrusion”). The pen heats up to a different temperature depending on the materialyou put inside the pen.
So how on earth can I then draw in 3D? When it leaves the pen, the melted plastic is soft and malleable, but within a few seconds it solidifies, creating a solid, stable, pick-up-able structure.
How to Draw with a 3D Pen?
Drawing in 3D may seem daunting at first, but that’s only because it’s new. There's a learning curve, but with a bit of practice and with all the tips and tricks online, we promise you’ll find using a 3D pen to be second nature in no time!
Start with 2D: Drawing in 3D for a beginner starts with… wait for it… 2D. To help you get used to the speed of the pen and the way the different plastics behave, we suggest kicking off with drawing in 2D. Choose a clean, flat surface like a piece of paper and draw.
Draw Freehand in 3D: Once you’re confident drawing in 2D, it’s time to level up! Drawing freehand in the air gives you a whole new world of creative possibilities (and also makes people go “wow”).
Once you feel comfortable with this technique, challenge yourself to this simple 3D object like a cube, octagon or any geometrical shape.
Build a Cube: A great way to practice assembling your, particularly larger or more intricate ones, is by building a cube. You can use the same technique to go beyond 3D cubes to create almost any geometrical structure.
Build a Sphere: When creating a round shape like a sphere, we recommend using a mold to get that perfect 3D shape. Your molds can be made out of rolled up paper and masking tape, or you can use and recycle items you already have at home!
